This program is
extremely helpful for drawing isometric
sketches in the AutoCAD environment even
when the tridimensional model of the
plant, from which the isometric sketches
would be automatically derived, is not
available.
Powerful Commands for
Sketch drawing
up
The rich library
of graphic symbols and the powerful
commands make the sketch development easy,
quick and accurate:
- The drawing up
of isometric lines is very accessible
through an intuitive system for the
reference planes management.
- While
inserting the component is attracted to
the line, falls into place and
automatically cuts it.
- While
dynamically positioning the component
upon the line, the user may
interactively change the insertion
point, the flux sense and the rotation
around the axis.
- The
representation scale of the components
may be changed for drawing aesthetics
or clearness purposes.
- In the dimensioning operation the program
automatically puts the dimension line
into the correct isometric plane and
contemporarily computes the pipes
length.

At the time of
the insertion on the line, each symbol
picks up its own specific data from the
centralized data base, through the current
piping class. This mechanism protects the
user from mistakes and the consistency
between data and graphics is
guaranteed.
Automatic Generation of
Bill of Materials and
Welding List
Once finished the
sketch, a suitable function provides the
marking of the sketch components with a
badge that allows to locate them in the
BOM appearing on the drawing in table
format.
The program
offers various options such as the cutting
list, the welding list, the surface
computation for painting and insulation
and the BOM with prefabrication components
divided from those for
construction.
BOMs may be
extracted also for the whole project and
may be redirected to file in Excel
or ASCII format for further processing or
for interfacing with other
procedures.
Retouch of
Automatic Sketches
This program is
also used for making aesthetic retouches
and annotations to the sketches obtained
automatically provided that the
tridimensional model of the plant is
available.
