For those not
used to 3D environment, ESApro Piping 2D
is an effective tool for the drawing of
plant lay-outs. Even the user not so
skilled in AutoCAD soon will become
proficient with the aid of Piping 2D
powerful functions.
Piping 2D is very
helpful, in particular, for modifying
pre-existing bidimensional drawings
available in standard DWG
format.

Piping Spec
driven Operations
The applications
of the ESApro Plant Design family share
the centralized data base which the
various programs get the dimensional and
descriptive data from. The database
supplied with the program contains
thousands of piping component tables
compliant with the most popular standards
(ASME, DIN, ISO, UNI, BS, BPE etc.) and is
fully user customizable in order to face
whichever particular need.
The Spec Manager,
shared among the various programs, allows
the system supervisor to create the Piping
Classes choosing, among all the typologies
and dimensions available in the data base,
the subset fitting the design
criteria.
The piping specs
defined in such way drive and control the
user throughout the whole project
development.
Parametric Drawing of
Piping Components
ESApro Piping 2D
is made of a series of parametric programs
capable of automatically creating the 2D
drawings of the piping components, in all
sizes and views by picking up the
dimensional data from the database. A
large variety of components is provided:
pipes, bent pipes, elbows, tees,
couplings, reducers, caps, flanges, valves
strainers etc..
Once Class and ND
have been set the user simply draws the
pipeline which is automatically dressed
with pipes and elbows. In-line components
namely valves, flanges and strainers are
easily picked up from the screen icons and
automatically insert on the line and cut
the pipe.
Graphic routines for
Quick and Precise drawing
A set of graphic
routines accelerate the lay-out drawing
up, contemporarily guaranteeing great
accuracy and precision. Even the user not
so skilled in AutoCAD will be immediately
proficient.
Parametric Library of
Beams
In order to make
easier the drawing up of steel structures
and supports the program is equipped with
a parametric library of the most popular
types of beams: I, C, H, T beams, angles
etc..
Maximum Operating
Versatility
Suitable switches
are provided for selecting the preferred
representation of valves with or without
handle and coupling flanges. Even the
gasket thickness is considered. The
pipeline representation is available both
in single and double line.
The resulting
drawing is made of polylines instead of
blocks thus making possible to freely
perform all the editing operations
required in a bidimensional drawing,
namely the trim of two crossing
pipes.
